Combining the best features of a database and spreadsheet, the Sage Master Builder Estimating Basic application is one of the easiest-to-use assembly-based estimating solutions on the market today.

Estimate Creation
Global variables, formulas, and templates make your estimating process easier and more accurate. You can selectively factor in cost increases and lock prices to prevent accidental edits, highlight an item with a visual flag, and add notes for clarity. Windows functionality (such as cut, copy, and paste) enables you to import blocks of information from other estimates with just a few clicks of the mouse. All grids are Excel compatible-you won't have to learn a new interface if you are familiar with spreadsheets.

Once the takeoff is complete, you can easily generate the budget, proposal, requests for proposals, purchase orders, and subcontracts. You can even fax them directly to your subs and suppliers without printing them out.

Sage Master Builder Estimating Basic provides several ways for you to quickly assemble and update a parts database. Use the data-import feature to import a parts list and to update prices directly from your suppliers, or instantly create your database from one of the included parts lists. You can also easily account for sales taxes in your pricing as required and generate update templates to regularly update prices received from vendors.

Take advantage of pre-built databases for the Home Building and Home Remodeling trades to move quickly through the estimating process. Data includes a chart of accounts, cost codes (CSI and trades-specific), more than 19,000 parts and materials, and more than 1,000 assemblies (collections of parts and materials that can be quantified with a single entry). The simple assembly tools help you build new assemblies without leaving your takeoff. With just a few mouse clicks, you can copy, adjust, or create assemblies from scratch.

Sage Master Builder Estimating Basic also includes a free digitizer interface that supports the major digitizer brands.
